Elon Musk sold his $100M real estate empire and now resides in a compact Texas home.

The Tesla and SpaceX founder has left his luxurious California estate behind, now lives in a prefabricated house and plans to settle his family of 11 children in a three-mansion complex in Texas.

Since Elon Musk became a substantial part of Donald Trump ‘s government in the United States, his name has been under scrutiny at every public appearance. Recently, the question of where the billionaire lives after selling his seven mansions has arisen.

The Tesla and SpaceX owner lives in a compact little house located in Boca Chica, Texas, which is also the headquarters of his aerospace company. While he’s getting comfortable in that small community, his plans are even bigger: to put his entire family of 11 children in a three-mansion compound in Austin.

According to a Chron article, his Boca Chica home consists of a 20-by-20-foot prefab house from startup Boxabl, valued at about $50,000. When he stays there, he only has one large room divided into a living room and bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and one bathroom.

However, his amenities at the Austin compound are far more sophisticated, with a 15,000-square-foot mansion with Tuscan-style construction, The New York Times reported. It is there that he hopes to reunite his family, including the three mothers of his children.

Behind the villa is another six-bedroom mansion that Musk helped buy, two people close to the outlet told the outlet. The two properties cost a total of $35 million. There is also a third mansion 10 minutes away where the tycoon is staying.

Elon Musk’s change of heart after selling his seven California properties

Before living in Texas, the entrepreneur made a drastic change in his life by selling his seven California properties during 2020. On his X account, ex Twitter, he commented: “ I am going to sell almost all of my physical possessions. I will not own any houses.”

According to Revista Adhis properties together were worth over US$100,000,000. Six of them were in the Los Angeles area, while the seventh was in Hillsborough, a town in San Mateo County, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
