But the tone of this interview was already set when Volodymyr Zelensky was welcomed by Donald Trump on the steps of the White House.

Volodymyz Zelensky simply replied that he will wear “a suit when this war is over.” The American head of state did not stop there either, as he made another remark about his guest’s style of dress. “I like his outfit,” he added, adding another layer to the tense atmosphere. The American media outlet Axios assured that Donald Trump was irritated to see Volodymyr Zelensky arrive without a suit. Two sources revealed to them that the American head of state’s advisers assured their Ukrainian counterparts that it would be preferable for him to wear a suit, which he did not do.

Volodymyr Zelensky was received this Sunday, March 2, by King Charles III in Sandringham, United Kingdom. The Ukrainian president was welcomed as a hero on site by passers-by who encouraged him in the streets. The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, then hugged him. “You have the full support of the United Kingdom and we have the full support of Ukraine for as long as it takes,” he told him, relayed by The Sun. The Ukrainian head of state then met Charles III again, during a meeting by the fireside which seems to have gone well.
