Indian Deportation: The American aircraft C-17 Globe Master carrying 119 Indians living illegally in America has landed at Amritsar Airport at 11:40 pm on Saturday. Family members of the deported people have also reached outside Amritsar Airport to receive them. This is the second time after President Trump took oath in America that more than 100 Indians have been deported from the United States.

Out of these 119 deported people, 100 are from Punjab and Haryana. These include 67 from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, three from Uttar Pradesh, two each from Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

According to the agency report, this second group of illegal immigrants includes four women and two minors, including a 6-year-old girl. Most of these deported people are between 18 and 30 years of age. Meanwhile, there is news that the third plane carrying deported Indians will reach India on Sunday. According to sources, 157 Indians will be on board this plane.

Earlier, on February 5, just a few days after Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, a US military plane arrived in Amritsar with 104 illegal immigrants. These 104 people were from many states. These people were brought with handcuffs on their hands and shackles on their feet, which was criticized a lot from the Parliament to the streets. After checking the records of these people at the airport, they were sent to their respective homes.

PM Modi and Foreign Minister gave the answer

Amidst criticism from the opposition, Foreign Minister Jaishankar, while responding to this matter, had said that we are talking to the US officials on this matter. He said that this work of deporting illegal immigrants by America is not new, it has been going on for years. PM Modi, who went on a visit to America, also clarified his stand on this matter. He said that if any verified Indian is living in America without documents, then India is ready to take him.

CM Mann had objected to the plane landing in Amritsar

Punjab CM Mann has raised objection over the permission given to the second plane carrying deportees from America to land in Amritsar. Mann said that the central government is conspiring to defame the state by repeatedly landing the planes coming from America in Punjab.
